Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence based technique grounded in the belief that thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all connected. By implementing strategies such as mindfulness, guided discovery, journaling and thought records, CBT works to challenge and reframe the thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that are no longer serving you and empower you to see life from a fresh perspective armed with new problem solving skills to tackle anything that comes your way.
My Approach
I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and judgment free space for self-exploration. By blending a variety of treatment modalities, I support clients uncovering why they have certain thoughts, behaviors, and/or feelings and help them learn the tools to figure out how to move forward. At the core of my approach is the idea that empathy, validation, and a strong client-therapist relationship provide much of the foundation that allows clients to reach their treatment and life goals.
